The Good Old Days….

The times when we do not have much to worry about…

Even when studying is such a fun thing to do

Whenever i look out of my window, that patch of green field brings back fine memories of the best camp i ever attended in my whole life!

I still remember that we are all grouped into small teams named after the names of the 9 planets at that time (Pluto is now no longer part of that anymore) Am i in Team Saturn? or Jupiter? Hahas…i am not too sure either…

There’s this legendary muslim chicken rice which can only be found at my school canteen and i can’t think of a better word than "Legendary" to describe this wonderful dish…The chicken meat is coated with this sweet thick black soy sauce, and with the fragrance chicken rice…it’s simply heavenly! Till now, i just cannot find this unique chicken rice out there…sad…but whenever we talk about it, we can just imagine that plate of chicken rice right in front of us!

At the very first dinner of the camp, we saw our friendly Malay Auntie smiling at us…in her hands she carried a big pot and a laden. Sniff…sniff…what’s that smell? OMG! Izzit the chicken rice that sets the whole school to scramble for the Muslim Stall every Monday the moment the recess bell rang?

The teachers began to help the Malay Auntie with the serving of the food. Each one of us including myself waited eagerly for our turn. And when the food is finally on the plate right in front of us…we simply can’t wait to tuck in! Hahas…Drool people…Drool~

Table wet wet le…. LOL…

See, look and observe

Look around you…

Are the people around always seem to be in a rush?

Look more carefully…

Are their shoulders strained?

Now take a look at their faces…

How come everyone ain’t a bit relaxed at all?

True enough, bread and butter matters a lot to every individual. However life is more than that. People has neglected the small details around them. Paying attention to them maybe insignificant, but it does affect us in a big way. For example, you are about to enter a lift with a stranger. He initiates by giving you a hand gesture suggesting " You first". You responded with the same gesture " You should go first". Both smiled and entered the lift. What do you think the atmosphere in the confined space will be? In short, your trip in the lift isn’t that restricted and suffocating as it seems to be. On another occasion, you meet someone whom you know from the same school but you dun really knew that person. You gave her a smile. She replied back with a gentle smile. Instantly it breaks the cold wall between each individual. Your school mate wont be such a total stranger to you anymore right? Such small courtesy does benefit you a long way and your day wont be that dull afterall.

"Hey what are we gonna do after work?"

Think for a moment.

What will be the answer?

Movies, acrade, shopping, karaoke?

Try for yourself, take a break from the routine. Go admire the seaview at night, take a look at the skies above you or even take a small stroll around your neighbourhood…You might be able to find something interesting, and all you need to do is to observe carefully. I am not gonna to tell you what you will find. It is not for me to know and is for you to discover for yourself.

Live life to the fullest…

What can make a day memorable?

Watching your favourite football team wining a match?

A good companion?

A great movie?

A good game?

Delicious Food?

Sitting alone at night in front of your 42 inch plasma tv watching your favourite football team at play, or you rather sit with a bunch of football fanatics..who will scream with you when goals are scored…cursed the players for making silly mistakes  and even sweared at the referee for showing off his cards…Well, for me…the latter seems better…

You had your off-day and intending to catch a movie…you rather watch it with your good friend, or alone? It should be even better when the person sitting right next to you is a girl you liked…dun you all agree? Even a super boring movie will turn out great then…

A game can never be boring when your playing partners are soOo good at faking, or worse trying to make you look silly by chasing after each shuttle returned back at you….and that really fired you on to make them looked stupid instead… ( Evil Grin~)

What can pissed you off is when a sporty gal with a toned body and good looks came into the sports hall, all your other playing mates are concentrating on her rather than the game…and to make things worse, you end up joining them in the viewing gallery…You can blame who? Perhaps the over energetic hormones of yours bah? Isn’t it money well spent? hahaz….

Tasty food brings great satisfaction to your tastebuds, but it can onli reach up to this level. A simple plate of Char Kway Tiao can become rather special just by eating it with a great bunch of friends or buddies…that plate of Chay Kway Tiao can even transforms into a deliciacy when is being shared with your loved ones…

Well, if i had to choose, a great companionship can make a day or some point in life so memorable… a boring day can transform instantly to a day worth spending, just by hanging out with your loved ones, or your great buddies who are so good at crapping, talking stupid things…doing weird things…Insignificant things such as taking a long dull train ride from Boon Lay to Tampines can turn out amazingly entertaining especially when there is a young pretty gal sitting directly opposite you…what more you can ask for? You are having a VIP seat leh…and that gal turns out to be your long lost classmate, and the both of you began exchanging numbers and chat about the good old days ( Haha…this is what i called thinking too much!!!!)
